A bill which aims to set comprehensive amendments to the existing law on dangerous drugs is ready for floor debates, Rep. Antonio V. Cuenco, chairman of the House committee on dangerous drugs, said.
The Dangerous Drugs Act of 2001 is expected to pass once it is certified by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. One of the measure's salient provisions is the reduction from 200 grams to 10 grams of the quantity of dangerous drugs that merit the death penalty.
