Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Abdul Rehman Awan awarded the death sentence to a man for killing another in 2003 in Chontra, Pakistan. Muhammad Sajjad was handed the death sentence and a Rs 100,000 fine for the murder of Muhammad Tanveer on March 24, 2003. The murder convict will have to undergo six months imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine. The court also dismissed a private complaint of Tanveer’s father about the innocence of another accused, Muhammad Banaras.
