the Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal in Chittagong, Bangladesh, sentenced M. Siraj a man to death and 11 others to life imprisonment for the murder of journalist Kamal Hossain. According to the prosecution, Hossain, district correspondent of 'Ajker Kagoj', was picked up from his residence at Tintohori village, Khagrachhari, August 21, 2001. His slaughtered body was found the following day 2 km from his house.
