BANGLADESH: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH, ANOTHER GIVEN LIFE TERM IN SYLHET

District and Sessions Judge M Muminullah sentenced Saiful Islam, 20, of Pirojpur Sadar upazila, to death. According to the prosecution, BDR jawans recovered 1.1kgs of heroin raiding a bus of ‘Hanif Paribahan’ from Dhaka at city’s Humayun Rashid square on December 22, 2008, and arrested the two.
