Ergash Asadov and Qurbonali Rahimov were sentenced to death by the Tajik Supreme Court. During the trial it was established that in December 1992 they had joined a criminal group led by Hikmatullo Rahimov. Along with other gang members, Ergash Asadov and Qurbonali Rahimov attacked the house of Azam Dodarbekov, a resident of Kofarnihon District. They took Azam Dodarbekov, his sons Davlat and Sobir Nozipov, and 14-year old Gulnisso Sadridinov to the outskirts of the Qizil Bayraq farm of Shahr-i Nav District and brutally killed them.
