Charles Foster, 51, white, was executed by lethal injection

Charles Foster, 51, white, was executed by lethal injection. He had been convicted of killing Claude Willey, a 74 year old black shop owner, during a robbery committed on 1st April 1983. He was the sixth person to be executed in the State during the year, the 25th since the State resumed executions in 1990. He was the 37th to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 635 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
