Nguyen Le Hong, female, was executed by firing squad in southern Vietnam's Tien Giang province, after being sentenced to death for running a robbery network. Hong, 45, was shot at dawn, a court official said.
Hong was sentenced to death in 2002 for masterminding 150 robberies in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the Mekong River delta from 1997 until her gang was busted in 2001.
The gang used drugs to incapacitate their victims, and took more than 100,000 dollars during their spree.
Their victims were passengers on the long-route public buses.
