The Military Tribunal condemned to death in absentia a Lebanese man convicted of collaborating with Israel during its occupation of the South.
The court found Albert Fouad Haddad guilty of "contacting the Israeli enemy, plotting with it and providing it with information" about anti-Israeli guerrillas, according to a notice posted on the court's bulletin board.
Haddad had also entered Israel and recruited a Syrian citizen to work for Israeli intelligence, the court said.
The death penalty brought to 60 the number of Lebanese, mainly from the ranks of the South Lebanon Army, who have been sentenced to death in absentia for collaboration with Israel during its occupation of the South.
