The Shanghai Railway Intermediate People's Court sentenced Zhang Jianli to death for murder.Zhang, 38, was on the staff of a chemical company and lived with a colleague identified by the surname Huang in a railway station dormitory. Zhang thought Huang was speaking ill of her, so on July 31, 2002, she put poison in Huang's lunch box. Huang and her son ate the lunch. Huang survived, but her son died the next morning.
