USA - Florida. A jury recommends death penalty for Bessman Okafor

An Orange County jury recommends death penalty for Bessman Okafor, 30, Black. Okafor is already serving life in prison on a 2013 conviction for robbing and burglarizing the same Ocoee home four months before Zaldivar was killed. Okafor was convicted last week in the September 9, 2012 killing of Alex Zaldivar, 19. Zaldivar was set to testify against Okafor in a home invasion trial. The judge in this case, John Marshall Kest, will set a sentencing date for some time in the next couple of weeks.
