BANGLADESH. MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR MURDERING BOY

an Additional District and Sessions court in Jamalpur, Bangladesh, convicted Abdullah Al Mamun and sentenced him to death for killing a minor boy. According to the prosecution, Mamun of Char Jathartha village, in the Sadar district, abducted his nephew Hasan,6, on December 8, 1999. Police recovered the body from a field on December 12. Police caught Mamun after the victim's father Zahedul Islam filed a murder case with police on the same day.
