Egyptian national Sayed Faruq Ibrahim was sentenced to death for strangling to death the four-year-old boy of an Omani diplomat after a breaking into a house in April 2004
Egyptian national Sayed Faruq Ibrahim was sentenced to death for strangling to death the four-year-old boy of an Omani diplomat after a breaking into a house in April 2004.
A court in Giza, southern Cairo, convicted Ibrahim for the murder of Mohammed, son of Abdullah Taher Baraham Ba Omaru, first secretary at the Omani embassy in the Egyptian capital.
It is alleged by the prosecution that following the murder, the convict wrapped the boy in a blanket, pretended he was still alive and forced the parents to pay a ransom.
