It may not be perfectly legal, but 12 minors are on death row, according to Bureau of Corrections records. The minors are inmates at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
BuCor Dir. Ricardo Macalla said the bureau is pushing for the adjustment of their sentences to lifetime imprisonment.
The minors on death row are: Ronald Bragas (rape with murder), 18; Arnold Acosta (drug pushing), 18; Anthony Manguera (rape with homicide), 15; Rosendo Tara (murder), 18; Allen Bustamante (murder and frustrated murder), 16; Rogelio Moreno (rape with robbery), 17; Lordio Librando (robbery with homicide and accessory to rape), 17; Alfredo Barroy, (3 counts of rape), 16; Danilo Pabillar (robbery with homicide), 18; Sator Ane (murder and robbery), 16; Roger Pasibigan, 16, and Ramon Nicodemus, 18, for robbery with homicide.
All the 18-year-olds in the list committed their crimes before their 18th birthday.
