Luo Jinqiao and Luo Guosheng, two members of a criminal gang, were sentenced to death in Changsha, in China's Hunan Province. They were found guilty of causing one woman to die and another to suffer serious injuries when they leaped off a four-story building on May 25, 2003, to escape forced prostitution by the two . Jinqiao was given a two-year reprieve on his execution. He and Luo Guosheng also had all of their personal property confiscated and their political rights deprived for life. Another eight members of the gang were jailed from 18 months to life.
