Malaysian police crippled a drug network in Limbang which could probably be a major supplier to addicts in Brunei.
In a raid conducted at Kampong Patiambun, Limbang, the police seized the state's biggest seizure ever, 206.2 grammes of crystalline substance believed to be Syabu. They also found an Indonesian-made air gun at one of the bedrooms in the house, the report said.
A family comprising a 61-year-old woman, her two sons and a daughter-in-law were also arrested. All the four suspects were produced before Magistrate Puan Monica Litis and were remanded for 14 days to facilitate investigation.The four were arrested under Section 39B of Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952 (Amendment 1998) which carries a mandatory death sentence by hanging upon conviction. They were also placed under arrest for unauthorised possession of firearm without permit or licence.
