Stacey Lewton, 31, black, was put to death by lethal injection. He had been convicted of killing Dennis L. Price, 44, white, during a burglary in the victim's apartment on 24th December 1992. He was the 36th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 235 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 76th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 674 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
